Please join us for the 2021 New York Technical Services Librarians Virtual Reception for Librarians, Information Professionals and Library School Students. NYTSL will be hosting a panel of technical services professionals from institutions across the city to answer questions and share their wisdom about the state of the field right now.

As with previous in-person NYTSL receptions, the emphasis will be on meeting new people and offering library students / emerging professionals an opportunity to interact directly with long-time professionals from all walks of experience. We’ll be joined by speakers from public libraries (Brooklyn Public Library), museum libraries (Metropolitan Museum of Art), and academic libraries (Columbia University) to learn more about how technical services positions vary across such diverse work environments. Attendees will be welcome to submit questions during the event through the Zoom Q&A feature, or questions can be submitted ahead of time via our Q&A Google Form.

This is an opportunity for librarians, archivists, and information professionals from the metropolitan area to meet informally. It is also a chance for library school students to learn about the various professional organizations in the metropolitan area and to meet future colleagues and employers.
